The Downtown Dollars Program is a community currency that functions like a gift certificate. It encourages local spending within Downtown Trenton and helps support local businesses. Downtown Dollars are purchased through the Trenton Downtown Development Authority (DDA) and can be used at any participating business. By supporting the Downtown Dollars Program, you help keep community funds within the local economy. The Downtown Dollars Program is approved annually, but all purchased Downtown Dollars are redeemable up to its expiration date regardless of the program’s continuation.
NEW! Trenton DDA 2025 Scarecrow Contest!
Get ready to unleash your creativity this fall! The Trenton Downtown Development Authority (DDA) invites all individuals, businesses, organizations, and groups in the Trenton area to participate in our new Scarecrow Contest. It's time to show off your artistic skills and get into the spirit of the season!
How to Enter: This is a FREE contest. Go to https://trentonmi.org/1218/Scarecrow-Contest to find our guidelines and our entry form. You must send your completed entry form to dda@trenton-mi.com and drop off your scarecrow to the Kennedy Recreation Center by 12:00 p.m. on October 24 to enter.
Voting: Scarecrows will be displayed along W Jefferson Ave starting October 25 till the end of November. Contest will be conducted through public voting. To vote, you can scan the QR code located on every scarecrow, go to trentonmi.org, or secure a ballot sheet from the Trenton City Hall.
